Jazzy Learns to Swim

Jazzy loved playing in the backyard. But the big pool scared her! She watched Mommy and Grandma swim. " - Come on, Jazzy," Mommy called. " - The water is fun!" Jazzy shook her head. She wanted to swim, but she was afraid.

Jazzy dipped her toes in the water. It felt cold! " - Too chilly!" she cried, stepping back. Grandma smiled gently. " - Try again, Jazzy." But Jazzy was unsure. She wanted to be brave, but the water seemed too big!

Jazzy tried sitting on the pool steps next. " - I can do this," she whispered. But her heart thumped loudly. She splashed her hands, feeling small waves. " - It's still scary," she said. She glanced at Mommy and Grandma, seeking comfort.

Jazzy watched Grandma swim gracefully. " - Look at Grandma!" Mommy cheered. Jazzy wanted to swim like that too. But when she tried to float, she sank instead! " - Help!" she squeaked, even though she was safe on the step. Her courage wavered.

Jazzy sat by the poolside, feeling sad. She wanted to give up. " - Maybe swimming isn't for me," she sighed. Mommy sat beside her. " - It's okay to be scared, Jazzy," she said softly. " - But remember, you are brave!"

Suddenly, a little duck toy floated by. " - Quack!" it seemed to say. Jazzy giggled. An idea popped into her head. " - I can follow the duck!" she said. She felt a tiny spark of courage inside.

Jazzy took a deep breath. " - I can do this," she told the duck. She stepped in, feeling the cool water. " - Look, I'm swimming!" she shouted happily. Mommy and Grandma clapped, cheering her on. Jazzy felt proud and brave!

Now, Jazzy swims every day. She loves the water! " - I'm a fish!" she giggles to Mommy. " - You're a brave fish," Grandma laughs. Jazzy beams with pride. She learned that with courage, she can try anything!
