Joãozinho não queria ir à escola

Joãozinho was a little boy who was very scared of going to school. Every morning, he would hide under his blanket, hoping his fear would disappear. He imagined all kinds of scary things happening at school. His mother tried to comfort him, but Joãozinho was still afraid. - What if nobody likes me? Joãozinho asked his mother.

On Joãozinho's first day of school, he stood outside the big building, holding his bag tightly. - I don't want to go in, he whispered to himself. The school looked enormous and full of strange faces. He thought about turning back and running home. But his mother gently nudged him forward.

Inside the school, Joãozinho faced his first obstacle. The classroom was noisy, and everyone seemed to know each other. He felt left out and alone. - I wish I could just disappear, he thought sadly. The teacher, noticing Joãozinho's discomfort, smiled warmly at him.

As the day went on, Joãozinho encountered more challenges. During recess, he sat alone while the other kids played. He wanted to join them but didn't know how. - Why is it so hard to make friends? he wondered. His heart felt heavy with loneliness.

In the afternoon, Joãozinho faced another difficulty. The teacher asked him to read aloud, but he was too scared. His hands shook as he held the book. - I can't do this, he thought, tears welling up in his eyes. The other children listened quietly, waiting for him to begin.

Feeling overwhelmed, Joãozinho wanted to give up. He thought about not coming back to school ever again. - Maybe school isn't for me, he said to himself. The day had been too hard, and he didn't think he could face it again. He felt small and defeated.

Just when Joãozinho was about to lose hope, his teacher approached him. She knelt down and spoke softly, - Joãozinho, everyone feels scared sometimes. It's okay to be afraid, but I know you can be brave. Her words gave him a glimmer of hope.

Encouraged by his teacher, Joãozinho decided to try again. He took a deep breath and remembered her words. - I can be brave, he told himself quietly. Slowly, he began to read aloud, his voice growing stronger with each word. The class listened and clapped when he finished.

With newfound courage, Joãozinho began to make friends. During recess, he joined a game of tag and laughed with the other kids. - This isn't so bad after all, he thought. He realized that school could be fun if he gave it a chance. His fears started to fade away.

By the end of the day, Joãozinho felt proud of himself. He had faced his fears and discovered the courage inside him. - I can't wait to come back tomorrow, he said happily. His mother smiled when she picked him up, and Joãozinho knew he had grown braver. School was not so scary anymore.
