Jonath and the Fish

Jonath lived in a small village in Kerala. He loved fishing with his parents by the river. One day, Jonath found out that the fish were not coming to the river anymore. He felt very sad and wanted to know why. 'I must find the fish!' Jonath declared. This was a big problem because fishing was his favorite thing to do.

Jonath decided to ask his parents for help. ' - Why are the fish not coming anymore?' Jonath asked. ' - Maybe the water is not clean,' his mother said. Jonath looked at the water; it seemed a bit dirty. ' - How can I clean the river?' Jonath wondered. The dirty water was his first obstacle.

Jonath tried to clean the water by picking up trash. But the river was very big, and he couldn't clean it all by himself. ' - This is too hard,' Jonath sighed. He saw some fishermen who were also sad. ' - We can't catch any fish,' they said. Jonath felt even more worried now.

Jonath felt like giving up. ' - Maybe the fish will never come back,' he said, feeling very sad. He sat by the river, looking at the water. ' - What should I do?' Jonath cried. He thought he would never solve the problem. For a moment, it seemed like all hope was lost.

Just then, an old wise man came by. ' - Why are you so sad, little one?' the wise man asked. Jonath told him about the missing fish. ' - You need to work with others to clean the river,' the wise man said. Jonath realized he couldn't do it alone. He needed his friends and family to help.

Jonath gathered his friends and family. ' - Let's clean the river together,' he said. Everyone helped to pick up trash and make the water clean again. Slowly, the fish started to come back. ' - We did it!' Jonath cheered. He learned that wisdom comes from working together.
