It was a warm summer day in Jakarta. Harimau, a brave 4-year-old tiger with short white fur, was excited to play. But as he walked through the park, he saw his friend Kancil crying. Kancil had lost his favorite toy, and Harimau promised to help find it. The problem was, Harimau had accidentally taken the toy and hidden it.
Harimau decided to search the park for the toy. He looked under the benches and behind the bushes. But the toy was nowhere to be found. Harimau felt a knot in his stomach. How could he tell Kancil the truth?
Harimau tried looking in the playground next. He climbed up the slide and looked around the swings. Still, no toy. Harimau was getting more and more nervous. What if Kancil never forgave him?
Harimau sat down on a bench, feeling defeated. He wanted to give up. He thought about going home and pretending he never saw Kancil. But then he remembered the promise he made to help his friend.
Just then, an old wise owl flew down and sat next to Harimau. - Why do you look so sad, little tiger? asked the owl. Harimau explained everything. - Sometimes, the bravest thing to do is to tell the truth, said the owl. Harimau realized the owl was right. He needed to be honest with Kancil.
Harimau found Kancil and took a deep breath. - Kancil, I have to tell you something, said Harimau. - I took your toy by accident and hid it. Kancil looked surprised but then smiled. - Thank you for telling me the truth, Harimau. Let's go find it together! They searched Harimau's hiding spot and found the toy. Kancil was happy, and Harimau felt relieved.
