Kayden and his family traveled from Kansas to Maine. They wanted to find a moose in the woods. " - Where is the moose?" Kayden asked. The trees were tall and leaves were orange and red. But there was no moose in sight. Kayden felt a little sad.
Kayden and his family went deeper into the woods. " - I can't see any moose," Kayden said. The path was bumpy and hard to walk on. Kayden's feet got tired. " - Don't worry, we will find one," said Kayden's mom.
They rode in an ATV to search further. " - This is fun!" Kayden cheered. But they still couldn't find a moose. The engine was loud, making it hard to listen for moose sounds. Kayden felt worried.
As the sun began to set, Kayden's family stopped to rest. " - Maybe there are no moose," Kayden sighed. Kayden felt like giving up. His family hugged him tight. " - We will try again tomorrow," said his dad.
The next morning, Kayden's grandpa had an idea. " - Let's make moose calls," he suggested. They all tried together, making funny sounds. " - I hear something!" Kayden exclaimed, excited. His heart was full of hope.
Suddenly, a moose appeared from behind the trees. " - Look, there it is!" Kayden shouted. The moose was big and gentle. Kayden felt brave and proud. " - We did it!" his family cheered together.
