Kiko loved crawling on the grass and watching clouds in Auckland. One day, her parents started packing. "Kiko, we're moving to Japan!" Yuka said. Kiko clapped her hands, though she didn't know what it meant. Kiko worried about leaving her familiar home.
Kiko's parents packed big suitcases. Kiko tried to help but felt too small. "How do we fit all our things?" she wondered. Kiko saw her toys disappearing into boxes. Kiko felt a little scared.
At the airport, Kiko felt overwhelmed. So many people and noises! "Hold me, Dad!" she babbled. Vinnie picked her up, showing her the planes. Kiko felt tiny and lost in the busy airport.
On the airplane, Kiko felt trapped. She missed her backyard and clouds. Kiko cried softly. "It's okay, Kiko," Vinnie comforted her. Kiko felt unsure about this big change.
When they arrived, Kiko saw bright lights. "Wow," she babbled, pointing to tall buildings. Yuka smiled, "This is Japan, Kiko." Kiko felt a spark of excitement. Maybe this place could be fun!
Kiko explored her new home with courage. She laughed at new birds and tasted soft rice. "Yummy!" Kiko giggled. Her heart filled with joy and adventure. Kiko felt brave in her new world.
