Julián loved playing in the garden with his two dogs, Max and Dexter. One sunny afternoon, Julián noticed his favorite toy, a bright red ball, was missing. He felt very sad and worried. He wondered if Max or Dexter had hidden it. Julián knew he had to find the toy before bedtime.
Julián decided to ask Max and Dexter if they had seen the ball. Max wagged his tail and barked happily, while Dexter just lay on the grass. Julián thought, "Maybe they don't understand me." He felt frustrated because he couldn't communicate with his dogs. He needed another plan.
Julián searched the whole garden, looking under every bush and tree. He even checked the flowerbeds where the dogs liked to dig. Still, there was no ball in sight. Julián felt like crying. "What if it's gone forever?" he worried. He sat down, feeling defeated.
Feeling hopeless, Julián thought about giving up and going inside. But he remembered how much fun he had playing with the ball. "I can't give up yet," he told himself. Just then, he heard a rustling sound in the bushes. Could it be a clue?
Julián followed the sound and found Max and Dexter sniffing around a pile of leaves. "What's there?" Julián asked with excitement. Max started digging, and soon, the red ball peeked out from under the leaves. "You found it!" Julián cheered. He realized his dogs had been trying to help all along.
