Laura, a lively four-year-old, loved playing in the sunny playground of Curitiba. One day, she noticed her favorite red slide was missing! The playground felt empty without it, and her friends were sad. Laura decided she needed to bring the slide back. She was determined to find out what happened.
Laura asked her friend Miguel if he saw anything. Miguel said he saw a big truck near the playground yesterday. Laura thought the truck might have taken the slide away. She wanted to follow the truck's tracks, but they had already disappeared.
Laura decided to ask her teacher, Miss Clara, for help. Miss Clara suggested they ask the park manager. But when they got there, the manager was on vacation! Laura felt stuck and didn’t know what else to do.
Feeling discouraged, Laura sat on a bench, thinking maybe she should give up. She missed the slide and the laughter it brought. But her friend Sofia came over and sat with her. - Maybe we can find another way to solve this, Sofia said.
Laura remembered her dad always said, 'Look for clues, and you'll find the answer.' She had an idea! Laura and Sofia decided to make a drawing of the slide and ask everyone around if they had seen it. They ran around the neighborhood, showing the picture to everyone.
Finally, a kind old lady recognized the slide from the picture. She said it was taken for repairs and would be back soon. Laura was overjoyed and thanked the lady. The next day, the slide was back, and the playground was full of laughter again!
