Leo, a young lion cub, woke up one morning to find his laugh had vanished. He tried everything to bring it back, but all he could muster was a small giggle. " - Where could it have gone?" Determined to find his laugh, Leo set off into the desert. His first stop was at the watering hole where the zebras gathered. " - Have you seen my laugh?" Leo asked eagerly. The zebras shook their heads, leaving Leo feeling even more puzzled. The sun beat down, making his fur hot and his paws tired.
Next, Leo met a group of playful meerkats. " - Maybe you left it under a rock," one suggested with a cheeky grin. Leo searched under every rock he could find, but his laugh was nowhere to be seen. Exhausted, he plopped down, feeling defeated. " - It's hopeless," Leo sighed.
Leo's journey continued as he trudged through the hot desert sand, feeling more discouraged with each step. He encountered an elephant who offered him a ride. " - Perhaps a higher view will help," the elephant suggested kindly. But even from high above, Leo couldn't spot his laugh.
By now, Leo felt like giving up. " - Maybe my laugh is gone forever," he thought sadly. He sat under a shady baobab tree, tears welling in his eyes. " - I just don't know where else to look," Leo admitted to himself. The desert seemed endless and unsympathetic to his plight.
Just then, a wise old tortoise approached. " - You mustn't give up, young Leo," the tortoise said. " - Have courage, and try remembering what makes you happy." Leo pondered this advice, thinking back to joyful moments with his friends. Suddenly, he felt a flicker of hope.
With renewed determination, Leo visited his friend the monkey, who was swinging joyfully in the trees. " - Remember that time we swung together?" the monkey laughed. Leo's face lit up with a smile, recalling the fun they had. Slowly, the sound of his laugh returned, bubbling up like a hidden spring.
At last, Leo's laugh was back, echoing through the savannah. " - I found it!" Leo exclaimed joyfully. His friends gathered around, celebrating his return to happiness.
