Lily was a brave little girl, except when it came to bedtime. As soon as the lights went out, she was sure there were monsters in her closet. Lily couldn't sleep, worried they might come out to scare her. Her mom told her there was nothing to fear, but Lily still felt scared. She wished she could be brave and sleep all night.
One night, Lily heard a soft noise coming from the closet. She held her breath, feeling her heart thump loudly. Lily wanted to hide under her covers but knew she had to be brave. Slowly, she tiptoed to the closet and opened it a crack. To her surprise, a pair of friendly eyes peeked out at her.
The eyes belonged to Max, a kind and fluffy monster with a big smile. Lily wasn't sure at first, but Max seemed nice. " - Are you here to scare me?" Lily asked, her voice trembling. " - No way!" Max replied. " - I'm here to show you how fun the dark can be!" Lily was curious but still a little scared.
Lily wasn't sure if she could trust Max, even though he seemed friendly. She thought about going back to bed and forgetting all about it. " - Maybe I should just go to sleep," Lily said quietly. Max looked at her and smiled warmly. " - I promise you'll have fun," he said gently.
Max took Lily's hand and led her on a magical adventure. They explored the moonlit garden, where fireflies danced like tiny stars. " - Look how pretty!" Lily exclaimed, her fear melting away. Max showed her how shadows made funny shapes and how the night was full of wonders. Lily began to feel brave and happy.
When they returned to Lily's room, she realized the dark wasn't scary after all. " - Thank you, Max," Lily said, feeling proud of her bravery. " - Anytime!" Max replied, giving her a big hug. Lily smiled as she snuggled into bed, no longer afraid of the closet. She slept soundly, dreaming of more adventures with Max.
