As she climbed, a gust of wind blew Lily's hat away. Chasing after it, she stumbled and fell. Her knees hurt, and she felt like crying. - Oh no, my hat! she cried, looking at the hat rolling down the hill. Lily felt more hopeless than ever.
Lily sat on a rock, feeling defeated. She considered giving up and going home. Maybe she wasn't meant to be special after all. - Maybe I should just stop trying, she sighed, wiping her eyes. But deep down, she didn't want to quit.
