Lily woke up, the sun so bright, A special day, filled with light! She was excited to start school but felt a little bit scared too. What if she didn't make any new friends? She wanted to be brave and have fun. " - I can do this!" Lily whispered to herself.
Mommy helped with shoes so neat, Daddy packed snacks, a yummy treat! But as they got ready to leave, Lily's tummy felt wobbly. " - What if no one wants to play with me?" Lily asked Mommy. Mommy smiled and said, " - You'll see, being yourself is the best way to make friends!"
Hand in hand, they walked the way, To school's big doors, "Hip, hip, hooray!" But the doors seemed so big and the kids so many. " - I feel so small," Lily said with a sigh. Daddy pointed to the playground. " - Look, a slide! You love slides!" he encouraged.
Toys and friends, a happy sight, Teacher smiled, with eyes so bright! But Lily stood in the corner, unsure what to do. " - I can't, it's too much," she thought. She wanted to run back to Mommy and Daddy. The room felt big and loud.
A hug from Mom, a kiss from Dad, "Be brave, dear Lily, don't be sad!" Lily remembered their words and took a deep breath. " - Maybe I'll try the blocks," she thought. She walked over, building a tower slowly. A little boy joined her, " - Can I help?" he asked.
Blocks so tall, a tower grand, Lily built, with helping hand! Her new friend was kind and funny. " - What's your name?" Lily asked, feeling better. " - I'm Sam," he said with a grin. Lily realized making friends wasn't so scary after all!
