Jad and his friends didn’t give up. They asked the neighbors if they had seen the map. - We haven’t seen it, said the baker. - Sorry, said the lady with the blue scarf. Jad felt a little sad. It seemed like the map was gone forever.
Jad was about to give up. He sat on the steps, feeling the warm sun on his face. - Maybe we’ll never find it, he said to Ali. - Don’t be sad, Ali replied. But Jad couldn’t help it. The treasure hunt meant so much to him.
Just then, an old man approached. He smiled kindly at Jad. - Don’t worry, young one, he said. - Sometimes when we stop looking, we find what we seek. Jad listened and felt a spark of hope. Maybe he needed to think differently.
Jad had an idea. He remembered a secret place where he once hid his favorite toy. He ran there quickly, his friends following. And there it was—the map! - We found it! Jad shouted with joy. The treasure hunt could begin.
