Lola and Jonah were buzzing with excitement as they boarded the big, yellow school bus. Today was Career Day, and they would visit different places in their town. Lola dreamed of becoming everything from a doctor to an astronaut. But she wondered, what if she couldn't do any of those things? Her worries followed her as she took her seat next to Jonah.
- I'm a little scared, Jonah. What if I can't be any of the things I dream about? Lola asked. - Don't worry, Lola! We'll figure it out together, Jonah replied. Their first stop was Miss Rosa's bakery, where the smell of fresh bread filled the air. But Lola's mind was still on her worries.
At the art studio, Mr. Malik showed the children his colorful paintings. Lola tried to paint a picture but ended up spilling colors everywhere. - Oh no! At the courtroom, Judge Mateo explained his job. - This is so confusing, Lola thought. - Don't worry, Lola. You'll understand it better when you grow up, Judge Mateo said kindly. Lola nodded but felt even more unsure about her dreams.
At the fire station, Ms. Tasha showed them the fire truck and gear. - This is amazing! Jonah exclaimed. Lola liked the shiny truck but worried she wasn't brave enough. - You're brave in your own way, Lola, Ms. Tasha said. But Lola still felt unsure.
