Lotta's Star Guardian

Tolerance Pixar style

In a quiet village, Lotta discovers a star that speaks to her, guiding her to find her lost courage and kindness amidst a world of challenges.

It was a silent evening in the small village of Fölsen. Little Lotta stood by the window, looking out at the world. The wind gently played with the leaves, and an owl sang in the distance. Lotta's father came into the room, holding her stuffed bunny, her bedtime companion. "Lotti, my dear," he said, "it's time for bed."

Lotta loved her stuffed lion, her 'Dream Guardian'. "He keeps the bad dreams away," she explained, hugging her bunny tightly. Her father tucked her in, asking, "Do you know why your lion and bunny are important tonight?" Lotta shook her head. "Because they remind you to be brave and kind," he said.

As Lotta closed her eyes, she heard a soft voice. "Hello, Lotta," the voice said. "Are you the star talking to me?" Lotta asked. "Yes," said the star. "I see you each night and wanted to tell you something special."

The star continued, "You are brave and kind, but sometimes people don't see it." Lotta frowned. "But I try my best!" she said. "I know," the star replied. "But sometimes, the world needs a little more time to see your light."

The next morning, Lotta felt unsure. At school, her classmate Max said, "You can't play with us, Lotta!" Lotta's heart sank. "Why not?" she asked. "Because you're too different," Max replied. Lotta felt her bravery waver.

During art class, Lotta's painting was different from others. "Why did you paint the sky purple?" asked her teacher. Lotta shrugged, "I like purple." The teacher smiled, "It's beautiful, Lotta, just like you." But Lotta still felt unsure.

At lunch, Lotta sat alone, staring at her sandwich. "Why don't they like me?" she wondered. Suddenly, her bunny fell from her bag. "Oh no," she said, picking it up. "You're always here for me, aren't you?"

That night, Lotta looked for the star. "Are you there?" she whispered. The star twinkled back. "I'm always here," it said softly. "But I feel like giving up," Lotta admitted. "Don't," replied the star. "Remember your lion and your bunny."

Lotta thought about her lion and bunny. "I am brave and kind," she repeated. "That's right," the star encouraged. "Tomorrow, try again and show them who you are." Lotta nodded, feeling a spark of hope.

The next day, Lotta approached Max. "Can I play with you?" she asked bravely. Max hesitated, then nodded. "Sure, Lotta!" he said with a smile. Lotta joined the game, feeling her courage and kindness shining through.
