Louis the Carp Goes to Saint Louis School
Louis, a determined young carp, dreams of going to Saint Louis School. Despite facing ridicule from his fellow carps and encountering numerous obstacles, Louis's courage and curiosity lead him on a marvelous journey of learning and growth.
Louis the Carp lived in a beautiful pond. One day, he saw a big sign near the pond that read 'Carpe Magnificentiam' – 'Take Hold of What is Marvelous'. Louis thought it meant that carps could go to Saint Louis School. He excitedly told his friends, but they all laughed at him. Louis felt sad but determined to go to school.
Louis put on his Saint Louis School uniform and swam to the school gate. He was nervous but hopeful. At the gate, he saw many other students, but they were all humans. Louis felt out of place. 'Can I really go to school here?' he wondered.
A teacher named Miss Emily saw Louis at the gate. - Why are you here, little carp? she asked. - I want to learn at Saint Louis School, Louis replied. Miss Emily smiled and said, - You are welcome here, Louis. But you must work hard.
Louis's first class was piano lessons. He struggled to press the keys with his fins. - I can't do this, he said sadly. But Miss Emily encouraged him: - Keep trying, Louis. You can do it. Louis practiced every day.
In art class, Louis tried to paint a picture. His fins made it hard to hold the brush. - This is too hard, he sighed. But his friend Mia said, - Don't give up, Louis. Your art is beautiful. Louis felt a little better and kept painting.
Louis wanted to be a scientist. In science class, he tried to mix chemicals but made a mess. - I can't do this, he cried. His classmate Tim said, - Mistakes are part of learning, Louis. Let's try again. Louis felt hopeful and kept experimenting.
Louis joined the school's running team. He kept slipping on the track. - I'll never be fast, he thought. But Coach Sam said, - You have the heart of a champion, Louis. Believe in yourself. Louis trained every day, determined to improve.

With renewed courage, Louis tackled his challenges again. He played the piano beautifully, painted stunning pictures, and made amazing discoveries in science. He even won a running race! - Look at you, Louis! said Nadim. - You took hold of the marvelous. - Yes, Carpe Magnificentiam! Louis replied happily.
