Luca on Mars
Luca is a brave young astronaut with a dream of being the first to walk on Mars. Despite facing many obstacles and doubts from others, he learns the true value of courage and perseverance in achieving his dreams. Will Luca overcome the challenges and make his dream come true?
Luca lived in the suburbs of Pittsburgh and dreamed of being an astronaut. His biggest dream was to walk on Mars. But everyone around him thought it was impossible. " - You're just a kid," said his friend Max. " - You should dream about something else," his teacher advised.
Luca decided to prove them wrong by building his own model rocket. He gathered supplies from his garage and basement. " - This is going to be amazing!" he exclaimed with excitement. But when he tried to launch it, nothing happened. " - Oh no, why isn't it working?" Luca wondered.
Undeterred, Luca decided to try again by making the rocket bigger. He borrowed tools from his dad's shed. " - I can't wait to see it fly!" he told himself. But a sudden rainstorm ruined his plans. Soaked and miserable, Luca sighed, " - Not again..."
The next day, Luca faced another challenge. His mom called him inside for dinner right when he was about to fix the rocket. " - Just five more minutes, Mom!" he pleaded. But it was no use, and he had to leave his rocket unfinished. " - This is harder than I thought," Luca muttered.
Feeling defeated, Luca began to doubt himself. " - Maybe everyone is right," he thought. He sat on his porch, staring at the stars. " - Why is this so hard?" he asked himself. Luca felt like giving up on his dream of Mars.
Just then, Luca's grandpa came to sit beside him. " - What's on your mind, champ?" Grandpa asked. Luca explained all his failed attempts. Grandpa smiled and said, " - Courage isn't about never failing, it's about trying again after you fail." That gave Luca a new idea.
Luca decided to ask for help from his friends and family. They all pitched in with suggestions and materials. " - Together, we can do this!" Luca said with renewed determination. With everyone’s help, the rocket was finally ready. " - We did it!" shouted Luca.
Luca was ready for the launch day. His heart pounded with both excitement and fear. " - I hope this works," he whispered to himself. With a deep breath, he pressed the launch button. The rocket soared into the sky, just like he had dreamed!
