Lucas approached the first truck, a big blue dump truck. - Why do you all look so worried? Lucas asked. - We can't find the missing piece for the bridge, said the dump truck. Lucas wanted to help, but he was too shy to speak up. He decided he needed to be brave and find the missing piece.
Lucas spotted a crane lifting heavy beams. - Can you help with the puzzle? Lucas asked the crane. - I'm trying, but I can't reach the missing piece, the crane replied. Lucas felt a little sad. - Maybe the cement mixer can help, he thought.
Lucas hurried over to the cement mixer. - Can you help the crane? Lucas asked. - I need the right mix, or the cement won't hold, said the mixer. Lucas was starting to feel worried. What if they couldn't figure it out? He had to keep trying.
Lucas sat down, feeling a bit overwhelmed. He watched the trucks trying hard, but nothing seemed to work. - Maybe I should just give up, Lucas thought. He didn't know what else to do. But deep down, he wanted to help his new friends.
Just then, a wise old bulldozer rumbled over. - Don't give up, little one, the bulldozer said. - Sometimes, a fresh idea is all you need. Lucas thought hard and had a new idea. - Let's all work together and share our ideas, he said.
