Feeling defeated, Luna plopped down on the soft carpet. Her tiny heart felt heavy as she thought about the missing star. - Maybe we can't have a star this year, Luna mumbled. She looked at her parents, who were busy decorating. Luna almost gave up, thinking it was hopeless.
Just then, Grandma entered with a twinkle in her eye. - Luna, sometimes the brightest stars are hidden, she said, handing Luna a silver ribbon. Luna's eyes lit up with an idea. She could make a star! With Grandma's help, she started crafting a star out of shiny paper and the ribbon.
With her new star in hand, Luna climbed onto her dad's shoulders and placed it on top of the tree. Everyone cheered as the star sparkled under the lights. - We did it, Luna giggled. Her heart swelled with joy and courage. It was the best first Christmas ever, and Luna had made it shine.
