In Brisbane, little Maisie meets a blue excavator every day on her way to daycare. But, one day, the excavator doesn't come. Maisie is determined to find out why and learns a valuable lesson about honesty along the way.
Maisie loved mornings because she always saw a big blue excavator on her way to daycare. The excavator would wave hello and make her giggle. But one day, the excavator was not there. Maisie felt worried and wondered where it could be. - Where did it go? Maisie asked her mom.
Maisie decided to find out what happened. She asked her mom to help her look for the blue excavator. But, there was so much traffic that they couldn't stop. - We can't stop right now, Maisie, her mom said.
The next morning, Maisie looked for the excavator again. But, instead of the blue excavator, she saw a big red dump truck. - Hello, have you seen the blue excavator? Maisie asked.
Maisie began to feel sad. She missed the blue excavator and didn't know what to do. - Maybe it's gone forever, Maisie sighed. She thought about giving up her search.
Then, Maisie saw a friendly construction worker waving at her. - Are you looking for the blue excavator? he asked. He explained that the excavator was helping build a new playground for the daycare. Maisie felt happy and excited.
Maisie went to daycare, and there was the blue excavator! It was helping make the playground. - Thank you for being honest, Maisie said to the worker. Maisie learned being honest can help solve mysteries.
