Mari and the Forest

Tolerance Watercolor style

In the enchanting forest of Munilla, Mari, a curious little girl, embarks on an unexpected adventure when she and her mom get separated during a sudden rainstorm. As Mari tries to find her way back, she encounters a series of challenges, including a crying tree, a slippery path, and an intimidating owl. Through her journey, Mari learns the importance of tolerance and understanding, ultimately resolving her conflicts with kindness and empathy.

Mari loved walking in the forest with her mom. They sang songs and watched birds. But one day, it started to rain suddenly. Mari's mom said, - We need to hurry and find shelter! But the rain made it hard to see, and soon Mari's mom was nowhere in sight.

Mari felt scared and alone. - Mommy, where are you? she called. The rain was loud, and Mari couldn't hear her mom's voice. She decided to be brave and look for her. Mari saw a big tree and thought, - Maybe I can find my mom from up there.

Mari started to climb the tree, but it was slippery. She slipped and fell onto the soft moss. - Ouch! she cried. Mari knew she had to try again. She got up and brushed off the mud.

Mari heard a soft sound. It was the tree, and it was crying! - Why are you sad, Tree? Mari asked. The tree whispered, - I'm lonely. People don't like me because I'm different.

Mari felt sorry for the tree. - I like you, Tree, she said. - You're big and strong! The tree stopped crying and smiled. - Thank you, little one. But now, Mari was worried about finding her mom again.

Mari continued her search, but the path was muddy and tricky. She slipped again and got all dirty. - Oh no, how will I ever find Mommy now? she wondered. Mari wished she knew the way back.

An owl flew down and landed nearby. - Who needs help? it asked. - I do! I can't find my mom, Mari replied. The owl flapped its wings. - Follow me, it hooted, and flew ahead.

Mari felt tired and thought about giving up. - Maybe I'll never find her, she whispered. She sat by a log, feeling sad. But then, she remembered the tree's smile. She knew she had to keep trying.

Just then, Mari had an idea. - I can use my jacket to make a flag! she said. She tied her jacket to a stick and waved it high. - Mommy, I'm here! she shouted.

Finally, Mari's mom saw the flag and came running. - There you are, she cried, hugging Mari tight. Mari was so happy and learned that being kind and patient helps everyone. - I missed you, Mommy, Mari said.
