Matteo couldn't sleep. His friend, Lyle the crocodile, was wide awake too. They heard a tale about the Wisdom Stone that could make you smarter! Matteo wanted to find it. He looked out his window and saw the dark, wild forest. It was a little scary.
Matteo and Lyle set off into the forest, holding their blankie. The path was dark and twisted. Suddenly, a big river blocked their way. Matteo looked at Lyle. - How do we cross? Matteo asked. Lyle blinked, thinking hard.
They tried to build a raft with sticks. But the raft fell apart! Matteo felt a bit scared. - What if we can't do it? Matteo whispered. Lyle nudged him with his snout, encouraging him. They tried again, but the river seemed too strong.
Matteo sat down, feeling defeated. - Maybe the Wisdom Stone isn't real, he sighed. Lyle laid beside him, offering comfort. They both listened to the forest sounds. Matteo started to close his eyes. Suddenly, a light caught his eye.
A firefly buzzed around them, glowing brightly. - Follow me! the firefly seemed to say. Matteo and Lyle followed it through the trees. It led them to a hidden bridge. - The bridge! Matteo exclaimed.
Matteo and Lyle crossed the bridge, heart pounding. On the other side, they found the Wisdom Stone! It shimmered with a soft glow. Matteo held it, feeling wiser already. - We did it, Lyle! Matteo cheered.
