In a bustling zoo, a little hippo named Blitz sat alone. All the other animals were playing together, but Blitz felt too shy to join in. His gray and white skin and blue hair made him feel different. Blitz wanted to make friends, but he didn’t know how. This made him feel sad and left out. He wished he could be brave and join the others.
One sunny day, Blitz saw the playful lions and wanted to join. He took a small step forward but stopped when he heard them laugh. Blitz thought they were laughing at him because of his blue hair. He turned away, feeling even more shy. Blitz whispered to himself that maybe he should just stay alone. It felt like a huge, scary problem.
Blitz tried to play with the monkeys next. The monkeys were swinging from trees, having a great time. Blitz tried to climb a tree but slipped and fell. The monkeys giggled, making Blitz feel embarrassed. - I’ll never be able to make friends, Blitz sighed. It seemed impossible to fit in.
Feeling hopeless, Blitz sat by the pond, looking at his reflection. He thought about giving up on making friends. - Maybe I’m just too different, he said quietly. His heart felt heavy, and his eyes filled with tears. Blitz wished he could be like the other animals. It felt like he would never belong.
Just then, an old wise turtle came by. - Why are you so sad, little hippo? the turtle asked. Blitz told him about feeling different. The turtle smiled and said, - Being different is your strength, not your weakness. Blitz realized that his uniqueness made him special. He felt a spark of courage inside him.
With newfound courage, Blitz approached the lions again. - Can I play too? he asked with a brave smile. The lions welcomed him warmly. Blitz discovered that being himself was enough to make friends.
