Davi was an 8-year-old boy living in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. He loved exploring the world around him and had big plans for his future. One day, he decided he wanted to build a treehouse in his backyard. But as he looked at the tall tree, he realized he didn’t know where to start. His dream seemed so far away.
Davi tried to gather some wood and nails, but he quickly ran into a problem. The wood was too heavy for him to carry alone. He sat down on the grass, feeling frustrated. His mom came out and saw him sitting there. - What’s wrong, Davi? she asked. - I can’t build the treehouse, it’s too hard, he replied.
Determined to try again, Davi asked his friend João for help. Together, they managed to lift the wood. But then, they realized they didn’t have the right tools to build the treehouse. - We need more tools, João said. - Where can we find them? Davi asked, feeling a bit discouraged. - Maybe we can ask Mr. Silva, the carpenter, João suggested.
Davi and João went to see Mr. Silva, but he was busy with his own work. - I’m sorry, boys, but I can’t help you right now, Mr. Silva said. Davi felt like giving up. - Maybe we should just forget about the treehouse, he said sadly. - Don’t give up, Davi, João encouraged him. - We’ll find a way.
That evening, Davi’s grandfather visited and saw Davi looking sad. - What’s bothering you, Davi? he asked. Davi explained his problem. - You know, wisdom doesn’t come from doing things perfectly, but from learning through mistakes, his grandfather said. - Let’s see what we can do together. Davi felt a spark of hope.
With his grandfather’s help, Davi and João gathered the right tools and learned how to build the treehouse step by step. They made some mistakes along the way, but they learned from each one.
