My First Tools
A young girl named Lily receives a special box of tools, but her curiosity and honesty are tested when things don’t go as planned.
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lily. She loved to build things with her imagination! One day, her parents gave her a special box. It was filled with tools just for her.
Inside the box, Lily found a bright yellow hammer. She couldn't wait to start building her own birdhouse. But when she tried to use the hammer, it felt too heavy. - Oh no, this is harder than I thought! Lily exclaimed. She felt a little discouraged.
Next, Lily picked up a shiny screwdriver. She tried to twist and turn a screw, but it kept slipping. - Why won't it work? she wondered aloud. Then, she noticed the screw was too big for the hole. She sighed, feeling even more frustrated.
Lily decided to use the small, smooth wrench. But as she tried to loosen a bolt, it wouldn't budge. - I can't do it, she muttered, tears welling up in her eyes. She felt like giving up. Maybe she wasn't meant to build things after all.
Just then, her grandpa walked by and saw her struggling. - Don't give up, Lily. Let's figure it out together, he said with a warm smile. He showed her how to match the right tool to the right job. Lily felt a spark of hope. - Thank you, Grandpa! she said, feeling much better.
With Grandpa's help, Lily learned to use each tool correctly. She finally built her birdhouse and hung it in the garden. The birds chirped happily as they moved in. Lily felt proud and happy. - I did it! she exclaimed.
