My Hijab

Meryem, a bright and curious seven-year-old, watched her mother wrap a beautiful hijab around her head. She imagined herself looking just as graceful and wise. But when Meryem tried to wear her own hijab, it kept slipping off. - Why won't it stay on? Meryem asked. Her mother smiled, "It takes practice and patience, my dear." Meryem felt determined to learn.

The next day, Meryem wore her hijab to school, excited to show her friends. But as soon as she stepped outside, a strong gust of wind blew it off her head. - Oh no! Meryem exclaimed. Her friends giggled, and Meryem felt embarrassed. She ran to pick it up and wondered if she should try again.

Meryem listened intently, feeling inspired. With newfound determination, she decided to try again the next day.

The next morning, Meryem tried again, remembering her grandmother's words. This time, she took her time and adjusted the hijab carefully. To her delight, it stayed in place! - I did it! Meryem exclaimed happily. She felt proud and wise, knowing she had learned something important.
