Jiaan is a curious boy from Thane, India, who dreams of traveling to the moon. His journey is filled with obstacles, but he learns that courage and determination can make dreams come true.
Jiaan was a curious boy who loved to look at the night sky. Every night, he would sit by his window, staring at the bright, glowing moon. One day, Jiaan asked his mom an important question. - Mom, can I go to the moon? I want to see what Earth looks like from up there! - Maybe one day, Jiaan. But for now, why don't you learn more about the moon? his mom replied. Jiaan felt a deep desire to visit the moon, but he didn't know how.
Jiaan started reading books about space. He learned that the moon is very far away and that astronauts need special rockets to reach it. But Jiaan didn't have a rocket. - How will I ever get to the moon without a rocket? he wondered. His mom suggested, - Why don't you try building your own rocket? Jiaan thought it was a great idea, but it seemed very difficult.
Jiaan gathered materials to build his rocket. He found cardboard boxes, tin foil, and plastic bottles. But as he tried to put them together, things kept falling apart. - This is harder than I thought, he said, frustrated. Then, his friend Rhea came over. - What are you doing, Jiaan? - I'm trying to build a rocket to go to the moon, but it's not working! Jiaan felt like he was never going to succeed.
After many failed attempts, Jiaan felt like giving up. - Maybe I can't do this, he thought sadly. He put away his materials and sat quietly. That night, he looked at the moon again and felt a bit sad. - I really want to go to the moon, but it's too hard. His mom noticed his sadness. - Don't give up, Jiaan.
