My Little Suitcase

Courage Pixar style

Join Lily, a brave five-year-old girl, as she embarks on a journey from Mexico to the United States, carrying her little suitcase filled with dreams. Along the way, she faces obstacles that test her courage, but with a fluttering butterfly guiding her, she learns to overcome challenges and pursue her dream of becoming a teacher.

Lily lived in Mexico with her grandparents. She missed her family in the United States dearly. One day, her mom, Maria, called to say, " - It's time to come home, Lily." Lily packed her favorite drawing materials in her little suitcase. She was excited but scared about the long journey ahead. Would she be brave enough to go?

As Lily and her suitcase boarded the bus, she felt nervous. The bus was crowded, and everyone seemed so much bigger than her. " - Stay close to me," her grandmother whispered. Lily held her little suitcase tightly. Suddenly, a loud noise startled her, and she almost dropped it. Would she be able to keep it safe all the way?

The bus ride was long, and Lily felt tired and a bit lonely. Her grandmother gave her a hug, " - We are almost there, mi amor." But then, the bus stopped suddenly, and everyone was asked to show their papers. Lily worried, " - What if they take my suitcase away?" Her heart pounded as she clutched it tighter. Would they let her keep it?

Finally, after a long journey, Lily arrived at her parents' house. She was excited to see her mom and dad again. Her brother Mateo ran out to greet her, " - Lily, you're here!" But at night, as she lay in bed, she felt a wave of homesickness. " - I miss abuela and abuelo," Lily whispered, tears in her eyes. Would she ever feel at home here?

Lily started school, but things were tough. Some kids in her class whispered and pointed. " - Why do they stare at me?" Lily asked Mateo. She felt different and out of place. Her teacher, Miss Jones, noticed her sadness and said, " - You're special, Lily. Shine bright like a star." But Lily wasn't sure if she could. How could she find the courage to fit in?

One day, Lily decided she couldn't take it anymore. She sat alone on the playground, clutching her suitcase. " - I want to go back to Mexico," she told Mateo. But Mateo hugged her, " - You're brave, Lily. Remember the butterfly? It's a sign you're meant to be here." Lily sighed, but she still felt unsure. Could she really be brave enough to stay?

That night, Lily had a dream about the butterfly. It whispered, " - Be brave, Lily. Your dreams are waiting." She woke up feeling different. " - I can do this," she said to herself. At school, she opened her suitcase and shared her drawings with her classmates. They gathered around, amazed. Could this be the start of something new?

Years later, Lily graduated from college, her suitcase filled with dreams of becoming a teacher. As she stood on stage, she saw her family cheering. " - You did it, Lily!" Maria and Alex shouted. Lily smiled, remembering the butterfly. It had guided her all along. With courage, she had followed her dreams. And now, she was ready to inspire others.
