Wyatt was at his in-home daycare, playing with his friends. Suddenly, Miss Susan, the caretaker, came in looking worried. 'The power is out, and I can't find the backup generator!' Miss Susan said. Wyatt's friends were scared. Wyatt wanted to help but didn't know how.
Wyatt remembered that his parents were always good at solving problems. 'Maybe my parents can help!' Wyatt thought. But first, he had to find a way to contact them. The daycare phone was not working because of the power outage. Wyatt felt stuck.
Wyatt decided to look for clues around the daycare. He searched high and low but couldn't find the generator. 'Don't give up, Wyatt!' his friend Emma said. Wyatt felt a little better but still didn't know what to do. Suddenly, he had an idea to check the storage room.
The storage room was dark and full of boxes. Wyatt tripped over a toy and fell. 'This is too hard,' Wyatt said, feeling like giving up. Emma helped him up. 'We can do this together,' she said. Wyatt nodded, but he still felt unsure.
Just then, Wyatt's dad arrived to pick him up early. 'Dad, we have a big problem!' Wyatt explained everything quickly. 'I have an idea,' his dad said, pulling out a flashlight. Wyatt watched in awe as his dad found the generator quickly. 'You did it, Dad!' Wyatt cheered.
'How did you know where to look?' Wyatt asked. 'Sometimes, you just need to stay calm and think clearly,' his dad replied. Wyatt learned that wisdom was the key to solving problems. The lights came back on, and everyone cheered. Wyatt felt proud of his dad and himself.
