Edan tried to move closer to the kids, but his tracheotomy tube felt heavy.
A nurse noticed Edan struggling. "Do you need help, Edan?" she asked. "I want to play," Edan replied.
With the nurse's help, Edan moved closer to the other kids. But he still felt nervous.
Edan felt like giving up. "Maybe I should just stay in my room," he thought.
Then Edan remembered a story his mom told him. She said, "Courage is being scared but doing it anyway."
With newfound courage, Edan joined the other kids. "Let's play!" he said.
