Sarah decided to retrace her steps, starting with her school. But when she arrived, the janitor told her he hadn’t seen any sketchbook. She felt a wave of disappointment wash over her. She wondered if she would ever find it. Her heart sank.
Next, Sarah went to the park where she often drew. She asked the children playing there, but no one had seen her sketchbook. As she walked around, she tripped over a rock and fell. Her knees were scraped, and her spirits were low. She felt like everything was against her.
Exhausted and defeated, Sarah sat on a bench and considered giving up. She thought about all the sketches she would never see again. - Maybe it's gone forever, she sighed. Her eyes filled with tears. She felt like there was no hope left.
Just then, an elderly woman with a kind smile sat next to her. - Why so sad, dear? the woman asked. Sarah explained her dilemma. The woman listened carefully and then said, - Sometimes, the best ideas come when you least expect them. Don't give up. Those words gave Sarah a new sense of hope.
With renewed determination, Sarah decided to check the library, one of her favorite places. There, she found a lost-and-found box. Her heart raced as she opened it. To her joy, her sketchbook was inside! She hugged it tightly, feeling proud of her perseverance.
