No More TV
Terry, a young and adventurous boy in California, is faced with a big problem when his beloved TV stops working. Forced to find new activities, Terry embarks on unexpected adventures that teach him the value of spending time with family and exploring new interests.
Terry loved watching TV more than anything else. One sunny morning, while Terry was enjoying his favorite show, the TV suddenly stopped working. " - No more TV?" Terry shouted, feeling upset. After school, Terry rushed home hoping the TV would be fixed. But it wasn't. " - What should I do now?" Terry wondered aloud. His friends called him to play football outside. " - Come on, Terry! It'll be fun!" they shouted. Hesitantly, Terry agreed to join them, unsure if he would enjoy it.
The next day, Terry rushed home again, but the TV was still broken. " - No more TV again!" he sighed. His mom suggested, " - Why don't you do your homework, Terry?" With a frown, he sat at the table to study. But soon, he found himself enjoying the challenge of solving math problems. " - This isn't so bad," he admitted to himself.
By the third day, Terry was feeling grumpy. " - I miss my shows," he muttered. His sister asked, " - Want to help me paint, Terry?" Though he wanted to give up on finding fun things without TV, he decided to try. As he mixed colors and brushed paint on the canvas, a smile slowly spread across his face. " - Painting is kind of cool," he realized.
The following day, Terry tried something new again. He went grocery shopping with his dad, who showed him how to pick the freshest fruits. " - Look for ones that are bright and firm," his dad advised. Terry felt like a little detective solving a mystery. By the end of the trip, Terry was excited about what he had learned. " - I found the best apples!" he declared proudly.
Finally, the TV was fixed and back in the living room. But Terry didn't rush to turn it on. " - Do you want to watch TV now?" his mom asked.
