O Menino que Conheceu Jesus

Wisdom Digital art style

João, a curious boy living in ancient Palestine, dreams of meeting Jesus despite being visually impaired. His journey is filled with obstacles, both physical and emotional, as he strives to learn and gain wisdom from Jesus. Will João's determination help him overcome these challenges and finally meet Jesus?

In a small village in Palestine, there lived a curious boy named João. João was different from most other children because he couldn't see. But what he lacked in sight, he made up for with his bright mind and curiosity. João had one dream: to meet Jesus, the wise teacher everyone spoke about. However, his parents were afraid for his safety in the bustling crowds. As much as João wanted to meet Jesus, his parents insisted it was too dangerous.

One day, João overheard his neighbors talking about Jesus coming to their village. He felt a rush of excitement and asked his mother, " - Can I go see Jesus too?" His mother sighed, " - It's too crowded and dangerous for you, João." Disappointed, João sat by the window, imagining what it would be like to meet Jesus. His heart was set on the thought, but the first obstacle was convincing his parents.

João decided to ask his father, hoping for a different answer. " - Father, please, I really want to meet Jesus," he pleaded. His father shook his head and said, " - It's not safe, my son. The crowd is too big." João felt frustrated but tried to think of another way. He wondered if he could sneak out, but his conscience told him it wasn't right. The problem seemed bigger than ever, as his desire clashed with his parents' fears.

Later that day, João heard his friends outside talking about going to see Jesus. " - João, aren't you coming with us?" one of them asked. João hesitated, then replied, " - I wish I could, but my parents won't let me." His friends nodded understandingly but went on without him. João felt left behind, and his heart ached with longing. He realized he needed a new plan to overcome this obstacle.

João tried to come up with a plan. He thought about asking his older cousin, who had traveled with crowds before. " - Cousin, will you help me see Jesus?" he asked hopefully. His cousin, however, was busy with chores and couldn't take him. João felt another wave of disappointment wash over him. He started to wonder if he would ever be able to solve his problem. It seemed like every idea he had wasn't working out.

Days passed, and João's hope began to fade. " - Maybe I'll never meet Jesus," he muttered to himself sadly. He sat alone, feeling like he had tried everything he could think of. Even his dreams seemed out of reach now. João's eyes welled up with tears, and he wiped them away with frustration. It seemed like giving up was the only option left.

Just as João was about to give up, an old friend of the family, an elder named Eli, visited them. Eli noticed João's unhappiness and asked, " - João, what's troubling you, my boy?" João explained his dream and the obstacles he faced. Eli smiled kindly and said, " - Sometimes, the path to wisdom is not a straight line. Let me help you." João felt a spark of hope reignite in his heart.

Eli had an idea. " - There's a hill overlooking the path Jesus takes," he said. " - I'll take you there. You can hear his words even if you can't see him." João's heart leapt with joy at the idea. " - Really? You'd do that for me?" he asked. Eli nodded, " - Of course, João. Wisdom is found in the heart, not just the eyes." With renewed hope, João prepared for the journey.

Together, Eli and João climbed the hill early the next morning. As they reached the top, João could hear the distant murmur of the crowd gathering. Soon, he heard Jesus speaking, his words filled with wisdom and kindness. João listened intently, feeling a sense of peace and understanding wash over him. Eli smiled, seeing the joy in João's expression. João finally felt like he had achieved his dream, in his own special way.

With a grateful heart, João returned home, feeling wiser and more fulfilled. " - Thank you, Eli," he said, " - for helping me find a way." Eli chuckled, " - Remember, João, true wisdom comes from within." João's parents were relieved and proud of his determination and growth. João realized that even with obstacles, his curiosity and desire to learn would always guide him. He knew that wisdom was not just about seeing, but about understanding and feeling.
