On My Own Two Feet
Max, a curious little boy, wants to walk on his own. He faces challenges like crawling, creeping, and cruising along furniture. Will Max find the courage to stand tall and walk unassisted?
Max was a curious little boy who wanted to walk just like the big kids. But his tiny feet didn't know how yet. "I want to walk!" Max said to his teddy bear. Max's mom smiled and said, "You'll get there, little Max!" Max looked at his tiny feet and thought... *one day*.
Max tried to crawl across the room, but it was hard. "Come on, Max! You can do it!" cheered dad. But Max's arms got tired, and he stopped. He looked at his dad, feeling a bit sad. "It's okay, Max. Keep trying!" Dad said with a smile.
Max tried to stand up by holding onto the couch. But his legs wobbled like jelly. "Whoa!" said Max as he sat back down. "Try again, Max!" said his mom. Max hugged his teddy bear, wondering why it was so hard.
One day, Max crawled over to the coffee table. He pulled himself up and tried to walk along it. "Look, I'm walking!" Max said laughing. But then, he slipped and sat down with a thud. "Oops!" Max said, feeling a bit down. His mom ran over and gave him a hug.
Max saw his friend Ella walking without holding onto anything. "How do you do that?" Max asked Ella. "Just keep trying, Max!" Ella replied. Max watched her walk with ease and felt a bit discouraged. He sat down and hugged his knees. "I can't do it," Max whispered.
Max thought about giving up. "Maybe I'm just too little," he said to his teddy bear. He sat quietly, feeling a bit sad. But then, he remembered his mom's words. "You'll get there, little Max!" Suddenly, Max felt a tiny spark of hope.
The next day, Max's grandpa visited with a special gift. "This will help you, Max!" Grandpa said, handing him a toy walker. Max's eyes lit up with excitement. "Let's try it!" Grandpa encouraged. With the walker, Max felt a little braver and stood up again.
Then, after learning with the walker, Max took his first steps without it! "I'm doing it!" Max shouted with joy. His family cheered, clapping their hands. Max's heart felt big with happiness." "I knew you could do it, Max!" his mom said, hugging him tight. Max smiled, proud and brave.
