Orestis and the Little Whale
Orestis, a curious little boy, discovers a big whale stranded on the beach near his house. Although frightened by its size, he decides to help. Faced with obstacles and feelings of doubt, Orestis learns the true meaning of courage through an unexpected friendship.
Orestis lived in a cozy beach-house with his family. One sunny morning, he discovered a huge whale on the sandy shore. The whale looked sad and stuck. Orestis wanted to help but felt scared because the whale was so big. His heart raced as he thought, "What if I can't help?"
Orestis took a deep breath and approached the whale. He tried pushing it back into the water, but the whale was too heavy. - I really want to help, but it's so hard, Orestis said aloud. He felt a bit scared and wondered if he could really do it. The whale let out a soft, sad sound.
Orestis decided to ask his friends for help. They tried pulling the whale with a rope, but it didn't work. - Maybe we should just give up, one friend suggested. Orestis felt sad and sat down on the sand. The whale's eyes looked at him with hope.
Feeling defeated, Orestis sat by the whale. - I don't know what to do, he whispered. He thought about giving up, but then he remembered the whale's hopeful eyes. - You need me, and I won't let you down, Orestis declared bravely. He knew he had to find another way.
Just then, an old fisherman arrived and saw Orestis with the whale. - Don't give up, young one! the fisherman said with a smile. He showed Orestis how to dig a channel in the sand to help the whale slide back to the water. - Thank you! Orestis exclaimed, feeling hopeful again.
Orestis and his friends worked together to make a channel. Slowly, the whale started to move back to the sea. - We're doing it! Orestis cheered excitedly. Finally, the whale swam happily into the ocean, splashing water joyfully. Orestis felt proud and knew he had found his courage.
