Max, a 7-year-old boy from Antwerpen, Belgium, loves adventures in the wild. When on vacation with his mom, dad and brother in france when visiting a little village he gets lost and separated from his family because he was very distracted by a huge fire truck in the window of a little shop. He cant find his mom dad and brother back. He gets lost in the little town and finally finds his way on the back of a tractor wagon to the fields and the woods around the little village in france. He checks what he has in his backpack; a pocket knife, a little bit of money, a rope and his survival handboek that he got from his uncle Bert and uses it and his clever wits to find his way back home. Along the way, he meets people and makes new friends, faces several challenges that test his wisdom and determination. and finally finds his mom dad and brother back.
Max, a young boy with very light brown hair and glasses, lived in Alken, a rural area with lots of fields and woods. One sunny afternoon, he decided to explore the nearby forest. He loved adventures and couldn't wait to see what he could find. However, after wandering for hours, Max realized he was lost. He felt a wave of panic as he looked around and saw nothing but trees.
Max tried to retrace his steps but found that all the trees looked the same. He stumbled over roots and got scratched by branches. The woods seemed to grow thicker and darker. Max felt a lump in his throat. He wished he had paid more attention to where he was going.
As Max pushed forward, he faced more obstacles. He tripped over a hidden hole and fell into a muddy puddle. His glasses slipped off his nose and got dirty. Max sat on the ground, feeling defeated. He didn't know how he would ever find his way home.
Max sat under a tree, feeling like giving up. Tears welled up in his eyes. He thought about his parents and how worried they must be. He felt a wave of hopelessness wash over him. Was he ever going to find his way out?
Just as Max was about to give up, he heard a rustle in the bushes. An old man with a kind face appeared. 'Are you lost, young man?' he asked. Max nodded. 'Follow me,' the man said. 'I know a way out.' Max felt a glimmer of hope and followed the old man.
With the old man's guidance, Max found a path that led out of the forest. The trees began to thin, and soon he saw the fields of Alken. Max couldn't believe it. He was finally out! He thanked the old man, who smiled and disappeared into the woods. Max ran home, feeling wiser and more determined than ever.
