Paula's Petete

Paula loved her stuffed toy, Petete. It was her favorite friend. One day, Petete went missing. Paula felt very sad and wanted Petete back. 'Where is Petete?' Paula asked.

Paula's Papa saw her sad face. He decided to help her find Petete. 'Let's look for Petete together,' Papa said. Paula nodded and held Papa's hand. They started their search around the house.

First, they looked in Paula's room. They checked under her bed. They checked inside her toy box. But Petete was not there. 'Where could Petete be?' Paula wondered.

Next, they searched the living room. They looked behind the couch. They looked under the table. Still, no Petete. Paula started to feel worried.

Paula and Papa then went to the kitchen. They looked in the cupboards. They checked the pantry. But there was no sign of Petete. Paula's eyes filled with tears.

Paula and Papa went to the backyard. They looked near the flowers. They checked the sandbox. But Petete was still missing. Paula felt like giving up.

Papa hugged Paula. ' - It's okay, Paula. We will find Petete,' Papa said. Paula sniffled and nodded. They decided to check the garage next.

In the garage, they looked in the boxes. They checked behind the tools. No Petete. Paula sat down and sighed. ' - Maybe Petete is gone forever,' Paula said.

Papa thought for a moment. ' - Let's think, Paula. Where did you last see Petete?' Papa asked. Paula tried to remember. ' - I had Petete when we went to the park,' Paula said.

They decided to go to the park. ' - Maybe Petete is there,' Paula said. They walked together to the park. Paula looked around eagerly. ' - Do you see Petete?' Paula asked.

At the park, they checked the playground. They searched near the swings. They looked around the slide. But Petete was not there. Paula felt very tired.

Paula sat down on a bench. ' - I can't find Petete,' Paula said. Papa sat next to her. ' - Let's take a break,' Papa said. Paula nodded slowly.

As they rested, a little boy came by. He was holding Petete! Paula's eyes lit up. ' - That's my Petete!' Paula said. The boy looked at Petete and then at Paula.

The boy handed Petete back to Paula. ' - I found it and thought it was lost,' he said. Paula hugged Petete tightly. ' - Thank you,' Paula said. The boy smiled.

Papa smiled too. ' - It's important to understand others,' he said. Paula nodded. ' - I am glad you found Petete,' she told the boy. They all smiled together.

Paula learned a big lesson. She understood how others feel too. ' - Thank you for helping me find Petete, Papa,' Paula said. ' - You're welcome, Paula,' Papa replied. They walked home happily.
