As Rabbit tried to find a way across, Tortoise slowly reached the river and began crossing on stepping stones. Rabbit exclaimed, - How are you doing that? But as Rabbit attempted to follow, he slipped on a stone and tumbled into the water. - Splash! Oh no! Rabbit cried, soaked and cold.
Rabbit climbed out of the river, feeling tired and wet. He sat on the grass, thinking of giving up. - This is too hard, Rabbit sighed. Tortoise passed by, moving steadily. - Don't worry, Rabbit. Just keep trying, Tortoise encouraged, continuing on his way.
Inspired by Tortoise's words, Rabbit had an idea. - I'll take a shortcut through the bamboo grove! Rabbit thought. Quickly, Rabbit hopped through the grove, dodging obstacles. He was determined to catch up to Tortoise and win the race.
