She loved to twirl in her favorite pink dress, a glittery tiara sitting happily on top of her long bouncy golden curls. Her sparkly pink shoes tapped with every noisy step. Reese was always ready for a new adventure and loved to ask why about everything.
One overcast and rainy day, when Reese came to Gigi's house, Gigi had a sparkly idea. She pulled out a big box of crayons and piles of paper. "Today, we're going to draw our love with these magic colors!" Gigi announced with a wink.
Reese clapped her hands excitedly. First, they grabbed the red crayon. "Red is for those warm hugs we share, just like snuggling up by the fire!" Gigi said as they drew themselves wrapped in a cozy blanket, reading stories by the fireplace.
Next came the orange crayon. "Orange is like the juicy oranges you love! It's sweet and zesty, just like your bubbly giggles!" Reese giggled even more and drew a big, round orange, pretending to munch it like a silly monkey.
Then, they picked up a sunny yellow crayon. "Yellow is for the shiny sun because you light up my day just like it!" Gigi drew Reese swinging high on a swing under a bright, yellow sun, both laughing in the picture.
"Green is next!" Reese shouted, bouncing with joy. "It’s for all the trees and their leaves that dance in the wind, just like you dance around!" They drew a big, green tree, with Reese swinging from it, shouting "Higher, Gigi, higher!"
The blue crayon was perfect for their next picture. "Blue is as deep as the sea and as high as the sky, just like your big, big dreams!" Together, they drew a beautiful beach with waves and a sky full of fluffy clouds. Gigi and Reese giggled as they added two playful dolphins leaping through the waves, just like they had seen together on their special day at the beach.
"Indigo is a fancy color," Gigi smiled. "It’s for the beautiful butterflies you chase in the garden." They drew a pretty indigo butterfly fluttering over a bunch of flowers, with Reese twirling below, dizzy with delight.
Finally, they picked up the purple crayon. "Purple is for how smart and kind you are, like when you pick flowers to give to your family." They drew Reese with a bunch of purple flowers, handing them out with a big, kind smile.
After all the drawing and giggling, Reese gave Gigi a big, tight hug. "I love you, Gigi," she said. Gigi hugged her back, her heart full of joy. Just then, they heard a little 'ding' from outside. It was their special wind chime outside , that only rang when the rain stopped. Excited, they raced to the door. Guess what? Indigo came next. 'Indigo is for wisdom,' said Grandma. 'Like when you asked about the stars.' Reese smiled, 'You know so much, Grandma!'
'Violet is for kindness,' said Grandma. 'Like when you helped me in the garden.' Reese hugged her Grandma, 'I love helping you.'
They finished the rainbow, and Reese looked at it proudly. 'We made a rainbow of memories and traits,' she said. Grandma kissed her on the forehead.
