THP Readathon

Charity Pixar style

Daniel, a curious 10-year-old, is excited about the Readathon event at Timour Hall Primary School in Plumstead. But when Wally, the hidden book mascot, goes missing, Daniel and his friends face a series of challenging obstacles. Will they find Wally and win the scavenger hunt, or will the Readathon end in disappointment?

Timour Hall Primary School buzzed with excitement as the Readathon event approached. Daniel, with his insatiable curiosity, couldn't wait for the scavenger hunt and the door decorating competition. But the excitement turned to worry when they discovered Wally was missing. Without Wally, the Readathon wouldn't be complete. 'We have to find Wally,' Daniel said determinedly.

The first obstacle came quickly. The school was huge, and Wally could be anywhere. Daniel and his best friend, Eden, decided to start their search in the library. But the librarian, Mrs. Thomas stopped them. - You can't just barge in here, she said sternly. - We need to find Wally! Daniel exclaimed.

With permission from Mrs. Thomas, they searched the library but found nothing. They moved to the gym, but it was filled with students practicing for the talent show. - We need to check the classrooms next, Eden suggested. - But the teachers won't let us interrupt lessons, Daniel replied. They felt their hope dwindling.

After checking a few classrooms and finding no clues, Daniel felt like giving up. - Maybe Wally is gone for good, he said sadly. - Don't say that! Eden encouraged. - We can't give up now. But Daniel was tired and frustrated. - It's hopeless, he muttered.

Just then, Broody from Grade 1C walked by, holding a clue. - I found this near the art room, he said shyly. Daniel's eyes lit up. - That's it! The art room! Mrs. Thomas had mentioned something about art supplies being borrowed. - Thanks, Broody! Eden said excitedly. They rushed to the art room with renewed hope.

In the art room, they found Wally hidden behind a stack of canvases. - We did it! Daniel cheered. The whole school celebrated as the Readathon continued with the scavenger hunt and door decorating competition. On Friday, everyone dressed up as their favorite book characters. - This was the best Readathon ever, Daniel said, smiling proudly.
