Retrieving Atticus
Atticus, a sensitive 4-year-old boy, faces his fears on the first day of Kindergarten with the help of his loyal golden retrievers, Kylo and Vader. He must overcome his anxiety and find the courage to embrace this new experience.
Atticus was excited and a little scared to start his first day of Kindergarten. He hugged his two golden retrievers, Kylo and Vader, tightly before leaving. " - I'm scared," he told them. The dogs wagged their tails, sensing his worry. Atticus was nervous about being away from his parents and in a new place. " - What if I don't make any friends?" he asked, feeling his heart race.
As Atticus walked to Kindergarten with his parents, he stumbled on the sidewalk. " - Oh no!" he exclaimed, feeling embarrassed. Kylo and Vader rushed to his side, licking his face to comfort him. " - Thank you, buddies," Atticus said, feeling a little better. The walk seemed so long and scary, with big trees casting shadows on the path. " - I wish I were home," he thought, holding his parents' hands tightly.
When Atticus arrived at Kindergarten, he saw lots of children playing. " - I don't know any of them," he whispered to his parents. His teacher smiled and welcomed him, but Atticus still felt shy. " - What if I can't find my way back to you?" he asked, his eyes wide with worry. Kylo and Vader couldn't come inside, so they waited outside patiently. " - Be brave, Atticus," his mom said, giving him a hug.
Atticus sat alone during playtime, watching the other kids. He missed Kylo and Vader, his safe companions. " - I can't do this," he thought, feeling tears in his eyes. He didn't want to join the games, feeling too scared. " - Maybe I should just go home," he sighed, looking at the door longingly. But then, he remembered Kylo and Vader's playful kisses.
Atticus felt a gentle tap on his shoulder. " - Want to play with us?" asked a kind girl with a bright smile. Atticus hesitated but then remembered Kylo and Vader's bravery. " - Okay," he nodded, standing up with a little courage. He joined the game, feeling a bit more at ease. " - I can do this," he thought, smiling as he played with his new friends.
After a fun day, Atticus saw his parents waiting with Kylo and Vader. " - You did it!" his mom cheered, hugging him tightly. Atticus smiled, feeling proud and brave.
