Feeling defeated, Rivey sat on the floor and sighed. " - I can't do it," she said sadly. She thought maybe it was time to give up. Her teddy bear looked at her with understanding eyes. " - Maybe Santa will understand," she said, hugging her bear tight.
Just then, her mom peeked in the room. " - Why so sad, sweetheart?" she asked. Rivey explained her struggle. " - Try closing your eyes just for a little while," her mom suggested. Feeling hopeful, Rivey agreed. " - Maybe I'll dream of Santa," she said with a smile.
And just when she thought she'd surely snooze, A soft jingle sounded, she knew this time she couldn't lose! Down the chimney came dear old St. Nick, His reindeer were dancing, as Dasher demonstrated a new trick!
