Roman loved to play at the park. One sunny day, he saw a lot of kids playing together. Roman wanted to join them, but he felt too shy. He stood by the swings and wished he could be brave.
Roman decided to try saying hello. He walked up to a group of kids building a sandcastle. But when he opened his mouth, no words came out. He felt his heart race and walked away.
Roman saw a boy playing with a toy car. He thought, 'Maybe I can ask to play with him.' But as he got closer, the boy's friends joined, and Roman felt too scared to ask.
Feeling sad, Roman sat on a bench. 'I'll never make friends,' he thought. He watched the kids and felt like giving up. He didn't know what to do.
Just then, a girl named Emma sat next to Roman. - Why are you sad? she asked. - I want to make friends, but I'm too shy, said Roman. - I can help! Let's go say hi together, Emma smiled.
With Emma by his side, Roman felt braver. They walked up to the kids and said, - Can we play too? The kids welcomed them, and Roman's heart filled with joy. He had made new friends!
