Ruby lived in a house with Mama, Papa, and baby Mason. One night, Mama smiled, "Ruby, do you know what time it is?" Ruby giggled, "Is it cookie time?" Papa picked her up, "No, it's tubby time!" Ruby loved tubby time, it was the best part of her day.
In her bubbly bath, Ruby pretended to be a mermaid. Suddenly, a glow appeared, and a tiny mermaid popped out! - Hello, Ruby! I'm Pearl, and I need your help! - The Magic Seashells are missing. Without them, the ocean will lose its sparkle. Ruby clapped, "Yes, I'll help!"
Pearl said, "Hold on tight!" Bubbles swirled around, and Ruby was on a beach. Trees towered on one side, waves crashed on the other. - We need to find three magic seashells, Pearl explained. - One is in the forest. - I'm ready! Ruby said.
Pearl led Ruby into the forest. The trees whispered, "Ruby, come closer." High up, a light glowed in a tree. - There it is! Ruby said. She grabbed a vine and climbed. - Woah! she yelped as it swayed, but she held on tight. She reached the glowing Shell of Courage.
They hurried to a dark cave. - Hello? Ruby called. - Helloooo! the cave echoed. "It's scary," Ruby whispered. - The Shell of Family is inside, Pearl said. Ruby thought of her family. - I can do it, she whispered.
At the ocean's edge, the last shell glowed on the shore. Ruby ran, but a wave swept it away. - Oh no! It's gone! Ruby cried. - The Shell of Laughter hears joy, Pearl said. Ruby twirled, splashing, and laughed. The shell floated back to her.
With all three shells, Pearl spun high. The waves sparkled, and a rainbow arched. - You did it, Ruby! Pearl cheered. - Your courage, love, and laughter saved the ocean! Mermaids leaped with joy. - Thank you, brave Ruby Maeve! they called.
Ruby was back home, snuggled in her bed. She told Mama, Papa, and Mason about her adventure. Mama kissed her forehead. - Good night, my brave little mermaid. - Good night, sweetheart, Papa whispered. Ruby smiled, dreaming of her next adventure.
