Rüya and the Light Within
Rüya, a young girl new to Canada, faces the challenge of feeling lost and out of place in her new school. With only a special pencil and her dreams, she must find the courage to overcome obstacles and discover the light within herself.
Rüya felt a bit lost in her new Canadian school. Everything was so different! She missed her old friends and familiar sounds. But she had a special pencil from her teacher, Mrs. Thompson. It had a shimmering star carved on it. "Write your dreams down," Mrs. Thompson said.
Rüya wanted to make new friends, but she felt shy speaking English. Her heart raced whenever she tried. - Why is it so hard? she wondered, clutching her pencil tightly. She wrote down her dream of making friends. But nothing happened.
The next day, Rüya tried to join a group playing in the snow. But when she spoke, the words came out all wrong. - I don't understand you, a boy said, looking confused. Rüya felt tears prick her eyes. Why was it so difficult?
Rüya's notebook remained silent, and she felt like giving up. She scribbled down her worries, but the pencil stayed still. - Maybe my dreams don't work here, she sighed to her cat. She closed her notebook and hugged her knees.
One evening, Rüya's notebook began to glow softly. A tiny star floated above the page. - Follow your heart, the star seemed to whisper. She felt a warmth spread inside her. Maybe all she needed was a little courage.
The next day, Rüya wore her bravest smile and approached a girl named Mia. - Hi, can I play with you? she asked hesitantly. Mia smiled warmly and nodded. For the first time, Rüya felt like she belonged.
Rüya's courage grew each day, and so did her circle of friends. She helped others when they felt shy too. - We can be brave together, she told them. Her dreams had become real, and her heart glowed with joy.
