Sara was playing in the garden when she realized her best friend, Charlie, was missing. She searched the garden and even peeked under the bushes. Sara felt worried. " - Where could Charlie have gone?" she wondered aloud. She knew she had to find him. But where to start?
Sara decided to look for Charlie in the nearby park. But when she got there, the park was empty. " - Oh no, where could he be?" Sara sighed, feeling a bit sad. She checked behind the swings and the big oak tree. No sign of Charlie anywhere.
Next, Sara thought Charlie might be by the pond where they loved to play with ducks. She hurried there but found only the ducks quacking happily. " - Have you seen Charlie, Mr. Duck?" she asked, giggling a little. But the ducks didn't know where Charlie was either. Sara began to feel a little scared.
After searching everywhere she could think of, Sara sat down on a bench, feeling like giving up. " - I wish I could find you, Charlie," she whispered sadly. Her eyes filled with tears. She felt tired and didn't know what to do next.
Just then, an old woman walking her dog passed by and saw Sara looking sad. " - Are you okay, dear?" the woman asked kindly. Sara explained about Charlie. " - Maybe try asking your friends for help," the woman suggested. That gave Sara an idea!
Sara gathered all her friends and explained the situation. " - Let's search together," her friend Tom suggested. They all went to different parts of the village, looking high and low. Finally, Sara spotted Charlie playing behind a big bush in the village square. " - Charlie!" she shouted with joy.
