Sawyer and the Tomatoe

Courage Pixar style

In East Texas, a young boy named Sawyer is terrified of 'tomatoes,' which he believes are dangerous storms. As he faces various obstacles and overcomes his fears, Sawyer learns the true meaning of courage.

Sawyer was a brave six-year-old living in East Texas, but he had one big fear—tomatoes! He thought tomatoes were storms that fell from the sky, knocking down trees and causing havoc. Whenever the wind howled, he would check the radar, worried about tomatoes. His friends laughed, but Sawyer was convinced they were real. " - I don't want the tomatoes to get me," Sawyer said one windy afternoon.

One day, Sawyer saw dark clouds forming and the wind began to pick up. " - The tomatoes are coming!" he exclaimed, rushing to close the windows. He wanted to warn everyone, but his friend Emma just giggled. " - There's no such thing as tomato storms," Emma said. Sawyer felt stuck because no one believed him.

As the clouds got darker, Sawyer tried to find shelter. But every place he went seemed too open to the sky. " - Where can I hide from the tomatoes?" he asked himself. He tried hiding behind a tree, but the wind howled louder. He was getting more and more scared, feeling like there was nowhere safe.

Feeling overwhelmed, Sawyer sat down and started to cry. " - Maybe I should just give up," he whispered to himself. He was tired of running and hiding. Just then, his Grandpa came by and sat next to him. " - What's bothering you, Sawyer?" Grandpa asked gently.

Grandpa listened carefully to Sawyer's fears and then smiled. " - You know, there's nothing to fear from tomatoes," Grandpa said, chuckling. " - But you do need to be brave during storms." Grandpa showed him how to tell the difference between a real storm and a normal windy day. With Grandpa's help, Sawyer began to feel a little braver.

With newfound courage, Sawyer decided to face his fear. When the next storm came, he remembered Grandpa's advice and stayed calm. " - I can handle this," he said bravely to himself. As the storm passed without any 'tomatoes,' Sawyer realized he was stronger than he thought. He now knew how to be courageous even when he was afraid.
