Ali, a cheerful 7-year-old, is excited for his first day at school in Baghdad. But when he discovers a classmate who can't afford lunch, he faces a dilemma. Will Ali find a way to help his friend and learn the true meaning of charity?
Ali was thrilled for his first day at school in Baghdad. He woke up early, put on his new uniform, and couldn’t wait to meet new friends. Ali wanted to share his lunch with Samir, but he wasn’t sure how to bring it up. During recess, he saw Samir sitting alone under a tree. Ali walked over and sat next to him, trying to think of the right words. He knew he had to do something to help.
Ali decided to talk to his teacher, Miss Leila. He explained Samir’s situation and how he wanted to help. Miss Leila nodded and smiled, appreciating Ali's kindness. But she also mentioned that helping one friend is good, but they need a bigger plan for all the children in need.
Ali felt overwhelmed. How could he help all the kids who didn’t have lunch? He thought about giving up. Maybe he was too small to make a difference. He sat on a bench during lunch, feeling a bit defeated.
Then, Ali had an idea. He remembered a story his grandmother told him about how small acts of kindness can grow. He decided to start a lunch-sharing club. He ran back to Miss Leila and shared his idea. She loved it and agreed to help him organize it.
With Miss Leila's help, Ali told the whole class about the lunch-sharing club. Many kids wanted to join and help. Soon, everyone was bringing extra food to share with those who didn’t have lunch. Samir and other children were no longer sad and hungry. Ali felt proud and happy, knowing he made a difference.
