Join Señor Beans as he and his best friend go on an adventure to school. Everything was great until he saw the sign on the door that said, "No Dogs Allowed." Señor Beans had to learn patience and persistence until one day he was allowed inside.
There once was a dog, Senor Beans was his name, He just wanted to go to class, He was met with bad looks and told to ‘get out’ Because only the kids get the pass. He waited outside up against the front door, All day while his friend was at school, No dogs were allowed and knew this was true, I guess being a dog wasn’t cool.
He woke up each morning, thinking one day, The principal might change her mind, So, he waited and waited outside of the school, Hoping that someone would find, That Senor Beans was a dog; indeed, this was true, But he’s not like the dogs you have met, He was gentle and patient and calming to some, And he was way more than a pet.
You see, Senor Beans, was only at school, Because his friend was in fear, He walked with him all the way up every day, Just so he’d know he was near. This went on for months, day after day, The principal just walked on by, Some days his feelings were so very hurt, That on his way home he would cry.
On their way home, after the school bell rang out, He asked his friend “How’s your day?’, He went on to tell him of the great people there, And that someday he’d get to play. He never gave up, his patience was great, As he sat himself right by the door, He was watching and waiting, hoping for change, And outside he’d be no more.
One day he was outside and heard someone cry out, And noticed a kid looking scared, His mother had left him; the front doors were locked, And he felt as if nobody cared. Senor Beans ran right over to lick on his hand, Because comfort is what he does best, He let him know that he wasn’t alone, And started howling to alert the rest.
The counselor was walking down the hall to her room, When she stopped because of the noise, She walked to the front to see what it was, And there was Senor Beans with the boy.
From that moment on the principal said, That we must change the rule, Senor Beans was a hero and saved that young man, From then on, he was welcome in school.
Senor Beans got a vest and a bunch of good treats, And he even got his own space, He worked side by side with the counselor, see, He was happy that he found his place.
He was able to be with the kids every day, To sit and show them he cared, Sometimes he would lick them on the side of their cheek, And show them there’s no need to be scared.
This is a story of persistence, and patience and love, Senior Beans, you see, has all three, He showed up and waited for his time to shine, And eventually, the world had to see.
