Curious and excited, Sam went to the treehouse after school. There, he found his best friend, Lily, looking worried. Lily confessed that she had broken her mom's favorite vase and didn't know what to do.
Sam wanted to help Lily, but he didn't know how. They decided to try and fix the vase without telling anyone. Sam and Lily found some glue and tried to put the pieces back together.
- Do you think this will work? Sam asked. - I hope so, Lily replied. But the more they tried, the more the vase seemed to fall apart. They were both getting frustrated. - Maybe we should just tell your mom, Sam suggested. - No, she will be so mad, Lily insisted.
The vase wouldn't stay together, and pieces kept falling off. Sam accidentally glued his fingers together. They tried using tape, but it looked terrible. The more they worked, the worse it got.
